During her junior career Stirling competed in her first grand prix at16, represented Zone 7 at prix de states, and clinched three consecutive Zone 7 Junior jumper championships. Following her junior career, Stirling became a professional working with a diverse range of students, from short/long stirrup to the junior/amateur jumpers. In her years as a professional, Stirling had the privileged to continue riding for and working with numerous other professionals including Mike McCormick, Jim and Joan Hensen, Colleen McQuay, and Patrick and Jana Rhodes. In 2021 Stirling made the move to California to join Archie Cox at Brookway Stables. Under Archie's guidance, Stirling continued her success in the hunter ring winning multiple championships and year end awards, as well as is securing a top 10 finish in the WCHR Developing Pro Challenge in 2023. In addition to her experience on the horse, Stirling also holds her "R" Hunter and "R" Equitation judges licenses.
Jenn's love of horses began at the young age of four years old when her preschool offered pony rides. Her infatuation stuck, and soon after her mother enrolled in riding lessons at the Rancho Riding Club in Rancho Santa Fe. She began in a county program, and spent many of her junior years as a working student for Marion Hadden Training Stables before eventually becoming a full time employee. During her time as a working student and assistant, Jenn not only learned to ride and show, but also learned the work and dedication required to run a training business. After taking time to continue her education, Jenn returned to horses in 2008 when she had the opportunity to work for Marcy Gehrke at Pacific Ranch Stables. Under Marcy's guidance, she won numerous achievement awards on the county circuit and went on to ribbon competitively in the 'A' show circuit as well. In early 2016 Jenn seized another amazing opportunity to work as Mark Bone's assistant at the new southern location of Huntover before finding her way back to where it all began at the Rancho Riding Club to work with Westwood founder Philp Cillis.
Taylor’s adoration of horses began at the age of 5, and horses have continued to be a cornerstone of her life ever since. During her junior years, Taylor competed successfully through the 1.20m jumpers on the “A” Circuit in Southern California. A brief hiatus to study at the University of Alabama only deepened Taylor's love for horses and ignited a passion for teaching. Since then Taylor has worn various hats in the equestrian realm, serving as an instructor to riders of all ages, a dedicated full-time groom, the manager of a program with over 30 horses, and finding success in the lower-level dressage arena. Now back in the hunter/jumper world, Taylor is dedicated to maintaining the care and well being of the horses in the Westwood program as well as cultivating fundamental riding skills to her students, ensuring a strong foundation for both riders and their equine partners.
